Another day

So I sit and type.... Not much to say just needing to vent I guess. The house has been so quiet since Dean went back. Grace is really excited about Christmas this year. I am trying to explain to her that "santa" can not possibly bring you everything you see on the tv so you need to pick a few things. Well that doesn't sit so well when you are 3 and every time the tv is on you are bombarded every commercial with the new fun toys!!! By the way... what happen to Thanksgiving?? I feel like it is completely being overlooked. I know that the retail stores put stuff out earlier every year but man I feel like we are completely skipping Turkey this year.
I met a very nice lady at the holiday market whose daughter lives in Germany the same place we are going in Feb. She told me that it was like a fairy tale over there. Castles, old ruins and all I can think is that there is no wal mart. I know we are going to Europe and I am excited but very anxious as well. Everyone I talk to tells me the same thing. It is a huge adjustment to living in the states. What so you do if you need something in the middle of the night?? My hubby keeps telling me " we aren't going to a third world country, It's Germany" I know this... just big changes I don't do so well. Oh and the house don't have closets. I don't know why they just don't have them, so the military will issue us wardrobes for the time we are there.
Well I must get the little one in bed. She is on her last Dora for the evening. " backpack, backpack!!!"Good nite

Count Down....

Well we are on the count down until Dean has to go back to Korea. Only 8 weeks this time, that's a breeze... Well that is what I am trying to convince myself of anyway... We have had a great time with him and can't wait until he comes back for good.
We had our pictures done today and that was a lot of fun. Grace had a little bit of a hard time warming up but then she turned on a few smiles. Anyway I am off to help Dean pack and get little miss to bed.

Happy Halloween! Well Kinda!

Well my Grace officially dislikes Halloween. Although she does like her tinkerbell costume. I was so excited to take her up Mopsy's street like so many times I had done as a child. Well let's just say that she was crying and wanted no part. I can't say I blame her, I was always scared of the scarry mask myself! We don't really do the whole Halloween thing anyway. We will do things at the church but I am just not crazy about the holiday. It has been nice to have Dean home. I am trying to prepare for him to go back but I know the hard part is over so that makes it better. There is just so much that I want to squeeze in while he is here and we are running out of time. I am trying not to think about though. Anyhow it is late and I have a class full of candy crazed 4 years olds waiting for me in the morning!! haha so it is off to bed for me!

New to this...

Well this is the first blog I have ever done. I have recently been introduced to blogging. I think it will be a nice way to just get my feelings out... We will see how this goes.
