Fall

Here is my attempt to cutesy up my blog. I give all credit to Katie whose blog i saw and followed the link to the website she found!! thanks katie!!! Fall is in the air and I just loved this background!!! We are excited all the way over here in Germany that it is finally football season!!!!! We are going to stay up to listen on the computer to the Hog game this weekend!! Look at this future Razorback Cheerleader!!! She is gonna be just like her Daddy!! He is gonna kill me for saying that!!:) love you honey!

Not much else going on this weekend. I am going to try and finish painting Grace's room and get things back up on the wall. I hate when things aren't finished. There is a festival this weekend in Manderscheid they all dress in costumes and stage a battle between the castles. It should be fun and I will hopefully get some good pics to put up. Oh and the last thing we have grapes well one bunch of grapes!! I had visions of grape jam but I don't think it will happen this year!

Say Goodbye!!

Say goodbye to the flip flops for the season :( I was so sad to pack them all away, but fall is here in Germany! The apples on the tree out back are beginning to turn red, there is a chill in the air and can anyone say "are you ready for some football!!!!!" I know I am one of the few girly girls out there that love football season!! Go Hogs!!! I can't wait! AFN (our cable over here) just had a commercial for college football on Friday!!
I cannot remember anytime back in AR being cold anytime in August but it is down right chilly here in the mornings and the evenings!!
I have been a house cleaning fool!! I can't really clean without moving all the furniture around so my sweet dean has come home to something being moved everyday since we have been home! I am almost finished. I actually tried to move a big cabinet today and totally dropped it and wasn't able to get it back up so when dean got home he had a nice surprise!! His only response is "why don't you just wait til i get here?"

We are once again trying to establish a bedtime routine for grace. Always a challenge, she is such a nite owl. It was such a blessing when she was little that she would sleep late in the mornings but now with school it is making it tough! Any suggestions i am in need of some new ideas!
Wow this was a total hodge podge of thoughts today, I will blame it on the Robitussin i have a kickin cold!!:)
Oh and if anyone knows of any good apple recipes let me know!!

Can we say Jet Lag!!!!

We are finally home from Arkansas. My body,mind,soul, and spirit ache. I am so glad to be home. It has been a long journey. If you remember Dean's mom passed away this May unexpectedly from cancer. I came home on Aug 6 to yet again board another plane back on Aug 11 to bury Dean's dad. He handles things so well. I am amazed at his strength. I don't have the words to even express the devastion our family has expeirenced these last few weeks. He has amazing faith in God. I know the Lord has it all in control but it is hard to accept at times. We knew that Poppa Joe was sick but he was not the type to let things get him down. I never thought cancer would get the best of him. I am glad that it was quick when it was in the last stage. He knew the Lord and I know he is with his momma and his son.
It was tougher this time on the kids because they were closer to him. He was a great grandpa, the kids would leave pockets full of candy and golden dollars. He was a man of excess. He would not buy a watermelon he would buy a flat of them so he could share. He had trunk full of goodies always!! I will miss he way he would say "hun" or "boy get over here!!" He was always smiling!! I will miss US Pizza and Sirloins Inn dinners and don't forget fried catfish!!!
I ask for your prayers for our family!! We need them!
I am very ready to get things back to normal. Gracie starts dance and cheer next week and should be able to start prescool in two weeks. My poor house is in desperate need of some serious deep cleaning! And fall has arrived here in Germany the weather as been great! A nice change from the scorchers back home. Since I have been back my friend says my accent is thicker :) gotta love a southern drawl!! I will try and blog more about where we visit in Germany it is festival season so I am sure i will have lost to share! love to all case
